Let go.
In a world where quick money, instant success, and overnight social status seem easily obtainable you can get discouraged. As I get older and I grow in my faith and adoration for the Lord and life I appreciate the journey as it is. That’s not to say that I don’t get in my flesh and get discontent from time to time. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t, but in those times is when I try to practice gratitude. Thanking God for where I am in this moment. There were times I prayed for the things I have now so there’s no reason I shouldn’t be grateful.
I’ll be 35 this year and I feel as if just within these last two years of life the Lord has just revealed so much to me about myself and life in general. Being a husband and a father of four the lessons never stop. Those two things will show you exactly what needs work in your life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. A few things the Lord has been showing me :
Everyday is a surrender. We have to make the choice to let things go that aren’t serving others or helping us lead our families and ourselves well. We must shed what once worked and isn’t anymore. Dead weight stops us from moving forward.
You don’t have to be perfect to lead. We are all flawed human beings. We don’t walk in that but we understand it and allow Jesus to iron out those things in us daily so we can be our best selves.
Your journey is your own. Embrace the season. Not every season will be like the last, and that’s alright. Trust in the Lord , make the adjustments, and keep going.
Life has its twists and turns but stay encouraged knowing we serve a God who cares and is with us. Little deposits in the right direction everyday will reap a bountiful harvest. Keep pressing on.
Isaiah 41:10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Amen thank you for always being so vulnerable with your thoughts. I love you so much 🥹🧡
'Every day is a surrender' is going to stay with me. So much pressure gets put on having it figured out before we lead or show up, but you’re right, it’s not about perfection, it’s about letting Jesus do the ironing while we keep moving.
